You can check manually if your account has been approved by clicking the "Account" tab and looking under your RedotPay ID
Now, you need to deposit money into your account.
Know that you cannot use the $5 gift to apply for the Visa card, you can only spend that after getting a card.
To deposit money into your account, you need a Crypto exchange platform like Binance.
For people that are not familiar with Crypto or have a bad view on it, let's make something clear: we are just going to use this technology to deposit money into the RedotPay account in order to use it as Fiat currency, there will be no investments, therefore, no profit or losses.
For this purpose, we are going to use what is called, a Stable Coin.
A Stable Coin is a crypto currency that is made to always have the same price approximately as another asset. One of these coins is USDT (USD Tether) where 1 USDT ≈ 1 USD.
Now to start, let's create a Binance account:
First, download the Binance App from Google Play or the Apple Store.
Open the app and click "I'm new to crypto"
Put your email address and click "Next" then go to your email inbox and paste the code that will be sent there to verify your account
Create a password
Put HLOCWJ32 as Referral ID and click "Submit" then click "Verify Identity"
You will need to:
1- Choose your country of residence.
2- Put your personal information
3- Choose what type of document you want to use to verify your identity (ID or Passport...etc.)
4- Do a liveness check by following the prompt commands like "turn your head to the left", "open your mouth"...etc.
After submitting your info, it will take a couple minutes to verify your account.
You can check manually if your account has been verified by clicking the Binance Icon on the top left and then checking for "Verified" under your account name
Once verified, you need to secure your account to be able to purchase crypto.
Click the Binance Icon on the top left
The Binance App has two modes: Lite and Pro.
The Lite Mode has a lot of needed features disabled, therefore, if you are on Lite mode, switch to Pro
If you are already on Pro Mode, this is what it would look like:
Now let's proceed to how to secure your account as it is mandatory:
Press the Binance Icon
Click on your Profile then click "Security"
First, add a Passkey, which is how you unlock your phone (Pin Code, Pattern or Fingerprint).
After that, click on the small arrow to show the other options
Click "Phone Number" then add your phone number and verify it
All done. Now you can start buying crypto.
There are multiple ways to buy crypto on Binance, the best one is to use the crypto exchange functionality P2P (peer to peer) where you purchase crypto from another Binance user using the payment method that you prefer.
This way is the cheapest in terms of fees and is more popular.
Let's show you how to start:
On the Home Page, click on "Add Funds"
Click "P2P Trading"
Now, let's explain the P2P interface:
First, choose the same Fiat currency as your payment method.
We will continue with USD
You can either buy or sell crypto. Since we're going to buy, stay on the "BUY" tab
Choose USDT as the crypto currency to purchase.
Note: Whatever fiat currency you chose, always choose USDT as crypto currency.
Now let's explain the results
Each result shows information about the Binance User:
Username:
Do NOT choose people with an empty username, they are not necessarily scammers, it's just that it's less professional to have a username with unrecognized special characters.
You can click on the Username to get more info about the user.
Check the Avg. Release Time to see how much time does the user take on average to release their crypto once paid. 3 minutes or less is good.
If you find 40 minutes or so, it is still fine, it just means that the user also sells crypto for cash hand to hand and they need to go physically to the location which takes time.
Note: That is only for users that verified their Address.
Trades Completed and Completion Rate:
These are for the last 30 days.
A user with more than ~30 Completed Trades and a Completion Rate of 90% or more should be okay.
Feedback:
This shows the rate of positive reviews the user has received. 90% or more is great but also check the number of trades.
15 minutes is how long you have to complete the transaction, if 15 minutes has passed and you haven't sent the payment to the user, the order will get cancelled and you have to repeat again.
These are the Payment Methods that the user uses for transactions:
To filter the results to only show specific payment methods, click "Payment" and select the payment methods that you prefer then click "Confirm"
Next, this is the Price of 1 USDT (since we chose to buy USDT).
The results are sorted from lowest price to highest.
Crypto Amount is how much crypto the user has in their account for trading.
Limit shows the minimum and maximum amount the user is willing to sell per transaction.
You can click "Amount" and put how much you want to buy to filter the results.
And that is it. Once you chose the user you want to trade with, click "Buy"
Stay on the "By Fiat" tab to put the amount in your currency
Choose your Payment Method
Put the Amount of money and you will see how much USDT you will receive after payment.
Before placing the order, make sure you read the Seller's terms
The sellers' terms most of the time are obvious or understandable like:
• Do NOT use a third party to pay like a friend's or a family member's bank account, only use yours.
This is also against Binance terms of service so you shouldn't do it with anyone.
• Send the payment receipt as a screenshot.
• When sending the money, do NOT put in the details anything about crypto like USDT, Binance, Crypto...etc. Just put "Service".
The reason for this is that a lot of banks forbid buying crypto directly.
• Additional transaction fees are on you; the seller should receive the amount you put in entirely.
• Only use the specific bank app to transfer.
• ...etc.
But there are some users that overcomplicate things and ask for your ID, phone number...etc. Don't bother with those and just choose someone else unless you're okay with sending what they ask for.
If you are okay with the terms, click "Place Order" to proceed.
The 15 minutes timer has started, Binance will place the crypto from the seller in escrow and wait for you to pay.
Click "View Payment Details"
Copy the seller's info that you're going to use to send the payment like Email Address or their Bank Account ID by clicking on the copy icon then click "Chat" to start talking to the seller.
Talk to the seller and ask if it is the correct info.
The info is of course correct but this is for the seller to know you're about the send the payment and for you to know if there is a problem.
Open your Bank App and send the payment then take a screenshot of the receipt.
Something like this:
Go back to Binance and send the screenshot to the seller.
Click the "+" icon then the "Picture" icon and send the screenshot.
After sending the screenshot, click on "View Payment Details" again
Click "Transferred, Notify Seller"
Note: After clicking, there are times when you will be prompted to attach the screenshot again.
Now you just wait for the seller to check for payment and release your crypto
Crypto received, you can rate your experience if you want.
Now, let's show how to send the crypto to your RedotPay account to use it as fiat currency.
Now that you have bought USDT, you can send it to RedotPay.
To transfer crypto from a wallet to another, you will use a Crypto Network.
Your Crypto Wallet with the specific Crypto Currency in every Crypto Network has an Address, whether in Binance or RedotPay.
To transfer currency from one wallet to another you need to choose the same crypto network and currency in both platforms.
Since you want to deposit into your RedotPay account, you need the address of your RedotPay crypto wallet in USDT, this is how to find it:
On the RedotPay Wallet Tab, click "Deposit" and choose USDT
Now choose the Crypto Network that is going to be used for the transfer.
Always choose the network with the cheapest transfer fee, in this case, BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) is the cheapest.
You can know how much the fee is from Binance when choosing the network there.
The network and currency you choose need to be the same in both RedotPay and Binance or else you will lose your money.
Now copy your Address by clicking the copy icon
Go open Binance and click "Wallets" then click "Withdraw"
Click "Withdraw Crypto" and select "USDT"
Click "Send via Crypto Network"
1- Paste your Address that you have copied from RedotPay
2- Select the same Network as the one you chose on RedotPay which is BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) (cheapest one available on both platforms)
3- Put the Amount of money you want to withdraw
4- Click the Tab icon (check image below) to add the Network Fee to the withdrawal amount
5- Click "Withdraw" to proceed
Confirm the order
The withdrawal is processing; it will take a couple minutes to receive the money on RedotPay.
Done. Money received.
Now to apply for a Visa Card.
On the RedotPay App, click the "Card" tab
A Virtual Card costs $10 while the Physical Card costs $100.
The difference is that you can use the Physical Card to withdraw money from ATM machines.
Choose the type of card you want and click "Apply Card" then fill in your info.
Whatever type you chose, you can use your virtual card moments after applying by clicking the Card tab
RedotPay frequently has events where you can get up to 50% discount off card applications, keep an eye on the Wallet tab or follow their Official Twitter Account for those events but know that your $5 gift is only available for 30 days.
