How to Buy a Car or a Motorcycle
in GTA 5 Story Mode

To buy a Car or a Motorcycle in GTA 5 Story Mode, you need to first own a Garage as the character you want to buy the car or the motorcycle for;

Franklin needs to buy the Grove Street Garage;
Michael needs to buy the Vinewood Garage; and
Trevor needs to buy the Pillbox Hill Garage.

To buy a Garage, simply go to its location on the map and interact with the Sign next to it.

A Garage can hold up to 4 vehicles so have an empty spot for the vehicle you're about to buy.
You will use your Phone to buy a car or a motorcycle, so bring it out and go to "Internet"

Click on "Travel and Transport"

There are 3 Websites that you can use to purchase cars or motorcycles:

"LegendaryMotorsport"
"Warstock-cache-and-carry" and
"SouthernSanAndreasSuperAutos".

For the sake of the guide we are going to use "Legendary Motorsports" as an example.
Click on the website and choose the vehicle you want; you can also Sort the Vehicles by price using the button on top.

Clicking on a vehicle will show you its stats. After deciding on your choice, choose a Color for the vehicle and click "Order" (You can always change the color and upgrade your vehicle through LS Customs later)

You have purchased the vehicle; after a few in-game minutes, you will receive a mail from the dealer informing you that your vehicle has been delivered to your garage.

Go to your garage and get your new vehicle.

Know that unlike GTA Online, if you destroy your new vehicle or leave it to despawn, you will need to buy it again as it cannot be registered and you cannot change your character's main vehicle to it.
The only way to save it, is by parking it in your Home Garage or in the Garage you purchased.
