Dominance

In Episode 3, after climbing the plant, the small monster will chase you then fall when he nearly reaches the top. Get down and follow him back and you will find him hiding behind a chest. Get close to him and assert your "Dominance".

In Episode 6, after getting the flute and the orb, go to the monster's house and he will flee. Follow him and play him the flute before learning the right tune.
